as the pixies, elves, water nymphs,
fairies and all the creatures
of the magical forest celebrated
the rising of the new star
the redeemer of all was born
in a land far far away
and all knew that happiness
and peace has been given a new hope
the reverberating laughter
and celebrations prompted the
fireflies to perch in the pine trees
for the best view

when all the gifts of love
were exchanged
a sigh of content engulfed
the atmosphere
and a voice of a thousand angels
sang the sweet promise of forever
